Jordan’s Ministry of Public Works and Housing is currently implementing a series of strategic infrastructure projects in Madaba Governorate, with a total investment exceeding JD96 million, according to information obtained by the Jordan News Agency (Petra).

Projects Underway
The ministry is overseeing two major projects currently under construction, with a combined cost of approximately JD3.9 million:
New Madaba Governorate Building
Progress: 68% complete
Details: A three-story administrative building including offices, halls, and service facilities, along with a residence for the governor.
Primary Health Center in Madaba Camp
Progress: 93% complete
Details: A two-story structure covering 971 square meters at a cost of around JD924,000.
Completed Projects (2024–2025)
Two significant projects were finalized with a total cost of JD2.4 million, funded by decentralization allocations:
Al-Sawa’ida Mixed Secondary School
A four-story building with a basement, spanning 4,170 square meters
Cost: JD1.78 million
Expansion of Dheiban Comprehensive Health Center
Added two floors and renovated the existing building, including sidewalks, ramps, and the removal of outdated structures
Cost: JD620,000
Projects in Planning/Study Phase
The ministry is preparing eight additional projects, including:
New Madaba Hospital
In partnership with Sondos Company, under an investment framework
Estimated Cost: JD91 million
Currently undergoing technical studies
Madaba Teachers’ Club
Estimated Cost: JD3.73 million
Designs completed and supervision tender awarded; awaiting funding to proceed with construction tender
Comprehensive Cultural Center in Madaba
Estimated Cost: JD3.85 million
Three New Schools (funded by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development):
Al-Nahda Boys' School – JD2.5 million
Lebb Mixed School – JD1.08 million
Dheiban Housing School – JD1 million
Supervision tenders awarded and execution tenders partially issued; licensing procedures ongoing
Expansion of Al-Azaydeh Health Center (Western Primary)
Study progress: 95%
Coordinating with Civil Defense for technical compliance
Funded by decentralization allocations
Future Project: Elevators and Solar Power at Al-Wehda Sports Club

Ready for launch once funding is secured
