Jordan records 1,910 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Wednesday reached 47, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 1,910 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 8,754 and the caseload to 708,265.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Wednesday’s tally, the ministry said:

627 in Amman
431 in Irbid
193 in Zarqa
157 in Mafraq
93 in Balqa
79 in Karak
63 in Aqaba
47 in Jerash
62 in Ajloun
28 in Madaba
26 in Ma'an
59 in Tafilah

The ministry added in a statement that some 2,963 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 154 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 21,336, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 10.18 percent of the 18,755 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
