Jordan condemned on Tuesday the Iranian attack that targeted two oil tankers belonging to the sisterly United Arab Emirates while they were transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Jordan described the attack as a flagrant violation of international law and a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and safety of maritime navigation.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed Jordan's rejection and denunciation of this attack, emphasizing Jordan's absolute solidarity with the sisterly United Arab Emirates and its full support for all measures the UAE takes to protect its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens.
The Ministry also expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the friendly Republic of India over the death of one of its citizens as a result of this attack, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
