In implementation of Royal directives and upon instructions from the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army on Thursday dispatched a mobile bakery to the sisterly Lebanon through the Jaber Border Crossing, as part of Jordan’s ongoing efforts to support and provide humanitarian assistance to the Lebanese people.
The mobile bakery consists of three trucks equipped with the latest machinery and technical systems required for bread production. It has a production capacity of up to 3,500 loaves per hour, with a total daily output of approximately 70,000 loaves, helping to meet daily needs in affected areas.
The initiative reflects the humanitarian approach of the Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty Abdullah II of Jordan, in standing alongside sisterly nations and providing various forms of support during challenging circumstances. It also highlights the humanitarian and relief role played by the Jordan Armed Forces through the deployment of their logistical and technical capabilities to assist those in need.
Over the past period, Jordan has carried out several humanitarian and relief initiatives for Lebanon, including six overland aid convoys comprising 130 trucks loaded with food, medical supplies, and relief materials. These efforts underscore Jordan’s steadfast commitment to supporting the Lebanese people, alleviating their suffering, and helping them face exceptional challenges and humanitarian needs.
