The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates is actively following up on a traffic accident in Nuweiba, Egypt, on Wednesday morning that caused multiple casualties among passengers.

Spokesperson Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali stated that initial information provided to the Jordanian Embassy in Cairo confirmed an Egyptian passenger bus carrying both Jordanian and Egyptian citizens crashed early in the day, resulting in deaths and injuries among Jordanians.
Al-Majali noted that the ministry, via its Operations and Consular Affairs Department alongside the embassy in Cairo, is in contact with Egyptian authorities. An embassy delegation is currently en route to Nuweiba to monitor the condition of the injured and arrange for the repatriation of the deceased back to Jordan.
