Specialized inspection and monitoring teams from the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) carried out 108 field visits in September to facilities handling medical supplies and cosmetic products.

According to a press statement issued by the JFDA, these inspections resulted in a series of effective regulatory actions, in line with approved systems and procedures, as part of structured oversight programs aimed at ensuring the safety and quality of medical devices and cosmetic products.
The technical staff at the Medical Devices and Supplies Directorate completed 215 registration and renewal applications for medical supplies, in addition to 475 registration applications for local and imported cosmetic products.
In the field of imports and exports, the JFDA processed 2,517 import and export invoices for medical supplies and 1,061 invoices for cosmetic products and their raw materials.
Regarding laboratory testing, 177 locally produced and imported registered medical supplies were analyzed, and six medical supplies were priced.
JFDA Director General Dr. Rana Abudayyeh emphasized the institution’s ongoing efforts to strengthen inspection and monitoring of medical device and cosmetic product facilities, adding that the JFDA plans to expand regulatory campaigns in the coming period through advanced monitoring mechanisms in cooperation with partner entities.
