The 14th edition of the annual Warrior Competition concluded yesterday, Thursday, at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC), in the presence of the Assistant for Operations and Training, senior officers from the Jordanian Armed Forces and security agencies, as well as ambassadors and military attachés from brotherly and friendly countries.

In his speech at the closing ceremony, the Center’s Director General emphasized that the competition serves as a global platform bringing together elite special operations and counterterrorism units from around the world. It contributes to enhancing cooperation, exchanging expertise, and providing exposure to the latest technologies and capabilities available at the center.
He noted that the competition employed advanced technological systems and training methods simulating realistic operational environments, enabling participating teams to demonstrate high endurance, combat skills, and team spirit—reflecting the essence of the “true warrior” in courage, discipline, and determination.
The closing ceremony included a documentary film produced by the Military Media Directorate, highlighting the main stages and challenges of the competition, alongside a Jordanian folkloric performance showcasing authentic national heritage.
The Iraqi Counterterrorism Service team won first place and the championship title, while Brunei Darussalam’s Special Forces came second, and the King Abdullah II Royal Special Forces secured third place. The Assistant for Operations and Training presented awards to the winning teams and commemorative shields to the organizing entities and supporting companies.
The five-day Warrior Competition, which involved 38 teams representing 23 countries from different continents, aimed to foster the exchange of expertise among participating forces, enhance their efficiency, and refine combat skills in realistic operational environments—demonstrating international cooperation and reflecting high readiness to confront modern security challenges.
