Army Foils Two Drug Smuggling Attempts Using Balloons

Early Saturday, the Eastern Military Region thwarted two attempts to smuggle large quantities of narcotics carried by balloons guided with primitive devices along its border area of responsibility.اضافة اعلان

According to a statement by the Jordanian Armed Forces, the balloons and their payloads were intercepted and brought down inside Jordanian territory after being detected at two separate locations by Border Guard forces, in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department.

The seized materials were handed over to the relevant authorities for the necessary legal procedures.
