Hassaan Stresses Need to Operate Crowne Plaza Petra Hotel by Early 2026

Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassaan visited Shoubak Agricultural School as part of an inspection tour covering Shoubak, Petra, and Wadi Musa.
During the visit, Hassaan directed the establishment of a comprehensive vocational school, including a modern agricultural section in line with the BTEC vocational and technical education system requirements.اضافة اعلان
He also inspected the Abdaliyah Health Center in Shoubak District, ordering comprehensive maintenance, laboratory upgrades, and improvements to the services provided to citizens.
The Prime Minister reviewed the Petra Comprehensive Day Services Center, praising the quality of services offered and instructing renovations of the building, upgrading its facilities, and equipping it with the necessary tools and devices to sustain operations and expand services for people with special needs from the region.
Hassaan also visited the stalled Crowne Plaza Petra Hotel project, emphasizing the importance of completing the renovations and opening the hotel at the beginning of next year.
Additionally, he toured the Devon Chocolate Factory in Wadi Musa, founded by a local entrepreneur. He commended the factory as a successful local investment, employing 40 young men and women from the area—mostly women—and exporting its products to the United States.
Hassaan affirmed the government’s support for such investments and encouraged their expansion.
