Safadi emphasized the need for collective efforts to provide sufficient and immediate humanitarian assistance to end the famine in Gaza. He underscored that Jordan will continue to play its leading humanitarian role in delivering aid to Gaza in cooperation with regional partners, the international community, and United Nations agencies.

He reiterated that Jordan remains committed to working with regional and international partners to achieve a just and comprehensive peace, based on ending the occupation and establishing an independent, sovereign Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.

Safadi welcomed the agreement on a ceasefire in Gaza and on mechanisms for implementing its first stage, which includes halting the war, exchanging prisoners, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Strip, and the entry of humanitarian aid. He stressed the need to adhere fully to the agreement, end the war, and address the catastrophic consequences of the aggression.

On platform X, Safadi expressed Jordan’s deep appreciation for the decisive role of U.S. President Donald Trump in reaching the agreement and his commitment to ending the war, ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid, preventing displacement, rebuilding Gaza, preventing the annexation of the West Bank, and advancing efforts to achieve peace.

He added: “We appreciate the tireless efforts of Egypt and Qatar, as well as the role played by Turkey.”

Safadi reaffirmed that Jordan will continue working with regional and international partners to guarantee sufficient humanitarian aid reaches Gaza through cooperation with UN agencies, and to help launch an irreversible process toward a just peace based on the two-state solution.
“The war must end. Humanitarian aid must flow without obstacles, and reconstruction of Gaza must begin,” Safadi stressed.

Two Years of Humanitarian Aid for the People of Gaza

The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), as the humanitarian arm of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, continues its relief efforts, embodying the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II to support the Palestinian people and stand by them in their most difficult circumstances—marking two years since the war on Gaza began.

Since the outbreak of the aggression, Jordan has mobilized on all diplomatic and humanitarian levels to secure safe corridors for aid delivery, becoming the primary gateway for relief aid into Gaza through the Jordanian Humanitarian Corridor. This effort has integrated the contributions of state institutions, led by the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army, the Royal Air Force, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and JHCO, in a unique model of national humanitarian cooperation.

Over two years, JHCO has dispatched 201 aid convoys carrying 8,664 trucks loaded with food, medical, and shelter supplies via land routes, reaching hundreds of thousands of families in the Strip.

Additionally, 53 aircraft carrying over 530 tons of essential supplies were sent in cooperation with the Royal Air Force through Al-Arish Airport. Moreover, 564 airdrop operations were carried out inside Gaza with the Jordanian Armed Forces and Royal Air Force, alongside partner countries, to reach besieged and remote areas. These included the use of 102 helicopters for precise deliveries of medical and food aid to hospitals and devastated regions.

Within Gaza, JHCO also launched several key humanitarian projects in partnership with international and local institutions, including:

Water Supply Project, providing over 21,000 liters of potable water across the Strip.

Hot Meals Project, distributing about 1.5 million meals throughout Gaza.

“Restoring Hope” Initiative, fitting 637 artificial limbs for the wounded in Jordan’s field hospitals in Gaza.

Flour and Bakery Projects, meeting daily bread needs for affected families.

Sacrificial Meat Project, benefiting nearly 4,990 individuals.

Tent and Shelter Distribution, supporting displaced families whose homes were destroyed.

Over the past two years, JHCO has signed 177 agreements and commitments with local and international partners for humanitarian assistance, reflecting global confidence in Jordan’s pivotal humanitarian role and effective field coordination.

In total, JHCO has delivered more than 123,396 tons of relief materials into Gaza, benefiting hundreds of thousands of individuals and families via land convoys, airlifts, and direct humanitarian programs inside the Strip.
