On Monday morning, personnel from the Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority’s Internal Control Directorate carried out a major security campaign in the South Shuna region. The operation was conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the Public Security Directorate (West Balqa Police), Central and Kafrein Gendarmerie forces, and the Royal Administration for Environmental Protection.

Accompanying the security forces were teams from the Water Basins Directorate and the Central Workshops Directorate. The mission aimed to detect and seal illegal wells and remove recurring encroachments on water sources.
The operation resulted in:
The seizure and backfilling of two illegal wells following a site raid.
The removal of all identified encroachments on water infrastructure.
The filing of official violation reports, with documents referred to the competent authorities to complete legal proceedings against the offenders.
The Water Authority reaffirmed that its efforts and campaigns are ongoing across all regions. It expressed appreciation for the support provided by the Public Security Directorate—specifically the West Balqa Police and the Central and Kafrein Gendarmerie—as well as the citizens who continue to report such violations to protect national water security.
