The Governor of Balqa, Faisal Al-Masaeed, met on Monday with directors and representatives of service departments and relevant agencies to discuss the preparedness plan for the summer fire season and to enhance field readiness.

During the meeting, Al-Masaeed emphasized the necessity of working as a unified team and intensifying coordination among various stakeholders. This is to ensure a swift response and immediate action in the event of any fire incidents, particularly in forested and agricultural areas, as well as sites with dry grass near residential communities.
He stressed the importance of taking preventative and proactive measures, including intensifying field inspections, maintaining machinery and equipment, and raising the readiness of firefighting crews and operations rooms around the clock. These efforts aim to protect lives, property, and forest resources.
Al-Masaeed underlined the need for regular follow-up on the plan's implementation and the submission of periodic readiness reports. He asserted that the Balqa Governorate will spare no effort to maintain public safety and strengthen field operations throughout the summer season.
The meeting reviewed the primary challenges expected during the summer and established clear, specific operational mechanisms. Additionally, there was an emphasis on intensifying public awareness campaigns regarding the dangers of lighting fires in open areas and the importance of immediate reporting of any fire incidents.
