House adds 2024 Amnesty Law to agenda

AMMAN — Speaker of the House Ahmad Safadi added the 2024 General Amnesty Law to Tuesday's agenda.اضافة اعلان

Safadi decided to convene the session on Tuesday at 11 a.m. to discuss the agenda of the 19th session of the third regular session and the supplementary agenda including the 2024 General Amnesty Law, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

According to a source, the Lower House will discuss the General Amnesty Law in its first reading under the dome on Tuesday, and sources suggest it will be referred to the Legal Committee with an urgent status.

Sources also suggest that a general debate under the dome will be discussed either at the end of this week or at the beginning of the next, for it to be approved and continue its constitutional process.

On Wednesday, His Majesty King Abdullah II directed the government to prepare a draft law for the general amnesty and proceed with its constitutional procedures.
