Gov’t committee to address status of GAM day laborers — source

 AMMAN — Some 15,000 day laborers at the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) are awaiting the formation of a government committee to rectify their legal status, according to a source from GAM who added that most the workers in question hold degrees.اضافة اعلان

The source explained that Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh intends to form a committee of representatives from the municipality, Civil Service Bureau and the Ministry of State for the Development of Institutional Development to review the workers’ requests to convert their status from day laborers to reflect their educational qualifications.
