Finance Minister Abdulhakim Al-Shibli stated on Sunday that economic growth projections for the current year have been revised to 2.7%, down from an initial estimate of 2.9%, citing the ongoing crises and tensions in the region.

During a meeting with the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Al-Shibli explained that the impact of regional instability on revenues remained at a minimum. He noted that the financial performance for March was comparable to the figures recorded during the same month last year.

The Minister added that the Risha Gas Project stands out as one of the most critical capital projects receiving expenditure during the first quarter of this year.

Furthermore, Al-Shibli confirmed that Jordan has successfully concluded its fifth review with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) without any new burdens being placed on the Jordanian economy.
