FM, USAID official talk cooperation, development projects

AMMAN -Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, on Thursday received Isobel Coleman, Deputy Administrator for Policy and Programming at USAID, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

During the meeting, the two sides affirmed the "strong" Jordanian-U.S. strategic partnership, and referred to the new memorandum of understanding (MoU) scheduled to be signed by Jordan and United States.

Discussions also went over the development programs and projects offered by the USAID in the Kingdom in the areas of women's empowerment, small projects, refugee support, and the water sector, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

Safadi valued the USAID's continued assistance to support the Kingdom's development process and address its economic challenges and the refuge-related consequences.

Coleman, for her part, said the Kingdom is a "strategic" partner of the United States, lauding Jordan's role in promoting security and stability in the region and thanking Amman for hosting refugees and providing them a decent life.
