Media Commission: Measures to curb violations related to post-exam interviews with Tawjihi students
The Media Commission has addressed an official letter to the Ministry of Education stipulating that no entities or educational platforms are permitted to conduct on-site filming during the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) period without obtaining the necessary permits from the Commission, as part of efforts to curb repeated media violations following the exams.اضافة اعلان

The Commission’s Director, Bashir Al-Momani, told Al Mamlaka that monitoring the media environment over previous years revealed the presence of certain entities and operators of educational platforms and social media pages acting as media outlets in violation of professional standards. These practices include conducting post-exam interviews in which students assess the exam’s difficulty in an emotional and non-educational manner, creating immediate reactions that have caused confusion—particularly among students and parents—and fostered a state of uncertainty. He stressed the need to address such violations.

Al-Momani explained that the Commission is acting within the legal framework, in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Education and relevant authorities, to address any media violations that disrupt students and often portray them in an emotionally charged and sometimes offensive manner.

The Commission also confirmed that its field teams will carry out the necessary checks to verify filming permits and to ensure that filming is conducted in accordance with the Commission’s established regulations.
