The Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization (JSMO) announced that it has intensified inspection and monitoring campaigns in markets across the Kingdom ahead of the seasonal promotions and discounts associated with White Friday, the last Friday of November. The campaigns aim to ensure that products offered for sale comply with technical regulations and national standards.

The organization told Petra that its inspection teams are conducting field visits in various governorates to verify the safety and compliance of products in the market—especially electrical appliances, clothing, toys, and cosmetic products. The teams are also checking the authenticity of brand labels and recording violations in accordance with the Standards and Metrology Law.
JSMO emphasized that the measures come as part of its commitment to protecting consumers and ensuring the quality and safety of products available during this peak shopping season.
The organization called on citizens to report counterfeit or non-compliant products through the unified complaints hotline and WhatsApp service at 065301243, via its official social media pages, through the complaints tab on its website, or via the “Bekhadmetkom” government application.
