Khreisat stated that monitoring bodies continuously follow up on olive oil sold in the market and intensify inspections before it reaches consumers. He noted that the Minister of Interior instructed local authorities to ensure that all olive oil circulated in the market is genuine and fit for consumption.

He added that oversight teams, including the Food and Drug Administration, detected the presence of adulterated oil and immediately moved to the location, where 13 containers were confiscated.

Khreisat explained that the seized oil in Jerash is usually intercepted before reaching the market due to strict inspections, ensuring that all quantities comply with Food and Drug Administration standards.

He emphasized that public awareness plays a key role in reducing the circulation of fake olive oil and called on citizens to report any suspicious cases to monitoring authorities.

It is worth noting that security agencies recently seized approximately 250 containers of adulterated olive oil in Jerash.
