During his inspection visit on Monday to the Ain Al-Basha Vocational Training Institute, accompanied by Acting Director General of the Vocational Training Corporation, Eng. Raef Al-Sawafin, the Minister stressed the importance of equipping young people with the skills and capabilities required by each sector. He noted that the level of wages earned by job seekers increases in proportion to the skills they possess that are relevant to the job opportunities they obtain.

He also emphasized the need to provide training programs in partnership with the private sector in key areas such as mining, garments and knitwear, and the agricultural sector.

During the visit, the Minister listened to remarks from trainees and staff at the institute regarding their training needs and proposals to improve the training environment, upgrade equipment, and strengthen mechanisms for linking training with the labor market. He underscored the importance of incorporating these observations within the Corporation’s approach of continuous improvement.

For his part, Acting Director General of the Vocational Training Corporation, Eng. Raef Al-Sawafin, affirmed that the Corporation is implementing a comprehensive plan to develop training programs and modernize the infrastructure of its institutes. This, he said, ensures the provision of high-quality training that aligns with labor market requirements and enhances trainees’ readiness to enter the workforce.

Al-Sawafin added that the Ain Al-Basha Vocational Training Institute is among the institutes undergoing continuous development in laboratories and equipment, alongside a strong focus on practical training and linking trainees with promising economic sectors.
