Suspension of Decisions Mandating the Termination of Employees’ Services in the Public Sector
The Council of Ministers, in a session held on Tuesday morning and chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, decided to suspend the implementation of previous decisions that made it mandatory to terminate the services of public-sector employees who have completed 30 years or more of service, or who have accumulated 360 or more social security contributions. The decision takes effect as of today.اضافة اعلان

The move aims to strike a balance between organizing the public administration and controlling expenditures on the one hand, and preserving human resources and accumulated expertise within government entities on the other, based on justified needs. It also seeks to enhance administrative flexibility in managing human resources according to actual requirements.

Under the decision, authority is restored to the competent reference— as was previously the case— to decide on the termination of services for employees who have completed 30 years or more of service or 360 or more social security contributions, in accordance with the needs of the relevant department or institution.
