Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan held an emergency meeting on Saturday, during which he directed the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization, and security authorities to take immediate measures to stop the sale of heaters linked to recent deaths and suffocation cases, and to withdraw them from the market until investigations are completed and technical results are released.

The Prime Minister instructed the concerned authorities to pursue legal action against any party that violated the law or neglected its duties, referring them to the Public Prosecution.
During the meeting, which included the Ministers of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Government Communications, and Interior, along with the Director of Public Security and the Director General of the Standards and Metrology Organization, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to take all necessary measures to verify the safety of heating devices and review compliance procedures with applicable standards and regulations.
