Army Confronts Arms and Drug Smuggling Groups Along the Northern Border

Since Tuesday evening, the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army have been dealing with several groups involved in smuggling weapons and narcotics along the northern border front of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The Jordan Armed Forces stated that they are conducting an operational and intelligence assessment of the situation in order to neutralize these groups and confront them, preventing all forms of infiltration and the smuggling of weapons and drugs, as part of their role in safeguarding the security and stability of the Kingdom.

A military source told Al-Mamlaka that clashes with the groups engaged in arms and drug smuggling are still ongoing.

The source confirmed that there have been no injuries among the armed forces, noting that all details will be disclosed once the operation is concluded.
