Using Balloons, Army Foils Four Drug Smuggling Attempts (Photos)

The Eastern Military Region thwarted four attempts early Saturday morning to smuggle large quantities of narcotics along its front and within its area of responsibility. The drugs were being transported using balloons guided by rudimentary homemade devices.اضافة اعلان

According to the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, the balloons were detected at various locations by Border Guard forces, in coordination with the security services and the Anti-Narcotics Department. They were intercepted and brought down, along with their payloads, inside Jordanian territory.

The seized materials were subsequently referred to the relevant authorities to take the necessary legal action, the statement said.
