He noted that the Department’s vision, mission, and core values were also updated to align with the Economic Modernization Vision, evolving circumstances, and the reforms implemented within the Department, as well as its future direction. This aims to support continued reform and development, strengthen a culture of partnership, enhance the quality of digital services, and ensure their delivery in accordance with the highest international standards.
He added that the strategic plan for the Income and Sales Tax Department for 2026–2029 was prepared to align with the requirements of the second executive plan of the Economic Modernization Vision for the same period, both in its overall fiscal pillar and specifically in the tax domain, while keeping pace with the Department’s ongoing digital transformation.
Abu Ali emphasized that the importance of this plan lies in meeting the essential needs of Jordan’s tax system and ensuring its compatibility with shifts in the global digital economy, by providing projects and programs that enable the Jordanian tax system to adapt to international best practices applied in advanced tax systems.
