Under the agreement, the government will pay JOD 10 million to the hospital during the current month and will commit to monthly payments of JOD 3 million starting from the beginning of next year, until the full amount—estimated at approximately JOD 39.6 million—is fully settled. This move will help ensure the hospital’s ability to sustainably continue providing its services.
The decision comes as part of the government’s efforts to settle all accumulated arrears owed to various entities from previous years. Since its formation in September 2024, the government has paid nearly JOD 600 million out of more than JOD 1 billion in accumulated arrears, and it plans to settle the remaining amounts over the next three years.
