Jordan records 22 new COVID-19 deaths, 18,477 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 18,477 new COVID-19 cases and 22 new deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 13,554 and the total number of cases to 1,508,950.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 7,866 cases, while Zarqa recorded 2,368 cases. Irbid registered 3,017 cases, Balqa 1,057 cases, Karak recorded 917 cases, Jerash recorded 423 cases, and Tafileh recorded 388 cases. Madaba registered 577 cases, Aqaba 512, Ramtha 38, and Ajloun 427.

The ministry said in a statement that 224 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 240 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 188,981 according to the ministry. Out of 69,245 COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday, 26.68 percent of them came back positive.
