Jordan records 22,113 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 22,113new COVID-19 cases and 24 new deaths on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 13,532and the total number of cases to 1,490,473.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 8,958 cases, while Zarqa recorded 2,703 cases. Irbid registered 2,857 cases, Balqa 1,577 cases, Karak recorded 1,079 cases, Jerash recorded 638 cases, and Tafileh recorded 484 cases. Madaba registered 1,171 cases, Aqaba 376, Ramtha 348, and Ajloun 650.

The ministry said in a statement that 214 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 238 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 188,254 according to the ministry. Out of 79,378COVID-19 tests conducted Monday, 27.86 percent of them came back positive.
