Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan said that Jordanians are eagerly awaiting, with optimism and enthusiasm, the national football team’s participation on Thursday evening in the final match of the Arab Cup against Morocco, wishing the Nashama success and victory.

Speaking during the Senate session held on Thursday to discuss the draft General Budget Law for the 2026 fiscal year, Hassan said that the national team has raised Jordan’s flag high through its outstanding performance throughout the tournament, presenting an honorable image of Jordanian football.
The Prime Minister also affirmed Jordanians’ aspirations to achieve further accomplishments for Jordanian sports at both the regional and international levels.
The national football team will face Morocco at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Lusail Stadium in Doha, Qatar, in the final of the 2025 Arab Cup.
Jordan is seeking to win the title for the first time in its history, following a series of impressive performances in recent weeks.
The national team has never previously won the Arab Cup nor reached the final, as the Nashama look to realize their long-awaited dream of lifting the trophy today.
