Jordan and Qatar Discuss Ways to End Dangerous Escalation and Activate Dialogue

Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, held a phone call with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, during which they discussed ways to end the dangerous escalation in the region.

The two ministers stressed the need to restore security and stability, and to activate dialogue and diplomacy to achieve this goal, emphasizing joint solidarity in confronting Iranian attacks targeting both countries.

Safadi also conveyed Jordan’s condolences over the deaths of four Qatari armed forces personnel in a helicopter crash caused by a technical malfunction, in addition to three Turkish personnel affiliated with the joint Qatari-Turkish forces.
