AMMAN – The Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) - Arab Army and the Public Security Directorate (PSD) issued a joint statement on Saturday detailing the impact of the regional conflict on the Kingdom during its third week.

The Military Media Directorate reported that the Jordanian Armed Forces intercepted dozens of projectiles launched from Iran toward Jordanian territory. According to the statement, the Kingdom was targeted by 36 missiles and drones over the past week.

The Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) successfully intercepted and destroyed 14 missiles and 21 drones, while only one attack was not intercepted by defense systems.

Since the outbreak of the conflict, a total of 240 missiles and drones have been launched toward the Kingdom. The RJAF has intercepted and destroyed 222 of these targets, while 18 projectiles were not intercepted.

The Military Media Directorate reaffirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces remain committed to their duty of protecting the nation against any aggression, utilizing all capabilities to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.

On the civil security front, the spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated that Civil Defense and police teams responded to 114 reports this week involving fallen debris from intercepted missiles and drones. These incidents, involving falling objects and shrapnel, were recorded across most governorates.

The spokesperson confirmed that one child sustained injuries due to last week's events; the child was reported to be in good condition and has since been discharged from the hospital.

Since the beginning of the conflict, the total number of fallen objects (debris) has reached 414, resulting in 24 injuries. All injured individuals have received treatment and have been discharged from hospitals.

The PSD spokesperson renewed warnings to the public against gathering near, approaching, or tampering with any foreign objects or shrapnel due to the extreme danger they pose. He emphasized the necessity of adhering to safety instructions issued by official authorities.

The Directorate urged the public to report any suspicious objects to the emergency services via 911, stressing the importance of relying on information from official sources and avoiding the dissemination of rumors or misleading news.
