The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned today the statements made by the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, in which he suggested that it would be acceptable for Israel to control the entire Middle East, including the West Bank.

The ministry’s spokesperson, Fuad Al-Majali, rejected these provocative and baseless remarks, describing them as a violation of diplomatic norms, an infringement on the sovereignty of regional states, and a clear breach of international law and the UN Charter. The statements were also inconsistent with the publicly declared position of U.S. President Donald Trump, who opposes the annexation of the occupied West Bank.
Al-Majali emphasized that the West Bank, including East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, is occupied Palestinian territory under international law, and that ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state on all occupied Palestinian land based on the two-state solution is the only path to achieving a just and comprehensive peace.
He also stressed the importance of coordinated efforts to stabilize Gaza and implement the U.S. President’s plan and UN Security Council Resolution 2803, rather than issuing provocative, irresponsible statements with no legal value or impact.
