Jordan Condemns Terrorist Plot Targeting UAE Economy and Financial Stability
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned in the strongest terms on Friday a terrorist plot that targeted the brotherly United Arab Emirates by attempting to infiltrate its economy and destabilize its financial security, describing it as an unacceptable attempt to threaten the UAE's safety and stability.

The Ministry reaffirmed Jordan's rejection and denunciation of this attempt, expressing absolute solidarity with the UAE. It emphasized Jordan's full support for all measures taken by the Emirates to protect its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens and residents, stressing the Kingdom’s rejection of all forms of terrorism aimed at destabilizing the region.
This follows an announcement by the UAE State Security Service regarding the dismantling of a terrorist network funded and managed by Lebanese Hezbollah and Iran. The elements of the cell, who were operating within the UAE under a front of fictitious commercial activities, were arrested. The network aimed to penetrate the national economy and execute external agendas threatening the country's financial stability.

The Security Service explained that the network operated according to a pre-set strategic plan with external parties linked to Hezbollah and Iran, violating economic and legal regulations related to money laundering and terrorism financing.

The UAE State Security Service underscored that any attempt to exploit the national economy or civil institutions for terrorist or conspiratorial purposes will be met with firm and decisive action, stating that no foreign interference threatening the state's security or stability will be permitted, regardless of its source or cover.
