Amman — The Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) announced that its teams handled a total of 6,279 different incidents during the Eid al-Fitr holiday. The operations included 5,338 medical emergencies, 210 fire-related incidents, and 731 rescue missions.

Major Incidents by Governorate:
Amman:
South Marka: A fire broke out in a four-story building. Two people suffered from smoke inhalation and were transported to Al-Bashir Government Hospital.
Al-Mustandah: A house fire resulted in 5 cases of smoke inhalation; four were hospitalized.
Abu Alanda: Four people suffered smoke inhalation due to the misuse of a kerosene heater.
Khalda: A fire in a second-floor apartment caused one minor burn injury; the victim was moved to Prince Hussein Government Hospital.
Irbid (Nu'aymah): Firefighters extinguished a blaze in a grocery store. No injuries were reported.
Balqa: Teams controlled a house fire (200 sqm) and another fire in a four-story building that resulted in 7 smoke inhalation injuries.
Zarqa (Ghureisa Road): A fire broke out in a 500-square-meter poultry farm warehouse. The fire was extinguished with no human casualties.
Karak: A fire in a two-story building led to 4 smoke inhalation injuries.
Jerash: A fire was contained within an 80-square-meter section of a large carpentry workshop (total area 240 sqm) with no injuries.

The Directorate urged citizens to adopt proper preventive behaviors, including:
Heater Safety: Never leave heaters on while sleeping and keep children away from them.
Ventilation: Ensure adequate airflow in homes when using heaters.
Maintenance: Regularly check hoses and leak-prevention seals (gaskets).
Emergency Contact: Call 911 immediately in case of any emergency.
