The Director of Operations and Training at the Civil Defense Directorate, Colonel Firas Abu Al-Sundus, on Saturday urged citizens not to circulate rumors or unverified video footage.
In statements to Al-Mamlaka TV, he also called on the public to remain inside their homes or move to the nearest safe shelter upon hearing air-raid sirens.
He explained that siren signals carry specific meanings: three intermittent sirens indicate the presence of a threat, while a single siren signals that the danger has passed.
Abu Al-Sundus stressed that upon hearing the three warning sirens, individuals should remain where they are and avoid movement. Those outside their homes are advised to seek shelter in the nearest building until the threat ends.
He further emphasized the importance of staying away from windows and exposed areas and, when possible, positioning oneself near concrete staircases for added protection.
