Significant cloud cover is expected, bringing heavy rainfall to many areas, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail. This significantly raises the risk of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, including the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and the city of Aqaba.

Timeline of the Weather Event:
Wednesday: The impact begins gradually, starting in the southern regions, including Aqaba, with rain showers later extending to most parts of the Kingdom, including the capital, Amman. Rainfall will be heavy at times, accompanied by thunder and hail, with the intensity expected to increase significantly during the night hours.

Thursday (The Peak): Thursday will mark the peak of the instability. Temperatures will drop noticeably, and the weather will be cold, cloudy, and rainy across most regions. Heavy downpours, thunderstorms, and hail are expected, alongside active westerly winds with strong gusts, leading to rising water levels and flash floods.

Monday & Tuesday (Pre-event): Conditions will remain relatively stable and cool across most areas, with a limited chance of light showers in some regions, particularly on Tuesday, without significant impact.

Official Warnings:
The Meteorological Department has issued several high-level warnings:

Flash Flood Risk: High danger of flooding in valleys and low-lying areas, including Aqaba and the Dead Sea.

Severe Weather: Risk of thunderstorms, hail, and intense precipitation rates.

Visibility: Reduced horizontal visibility due to fog and low clouds over highlands, and dust in Badia regions.

Wind: Danger of high wind speeds and strong gusts on Thursday.

Safety Instructions:
The department urges the public to:

Stay away from flood-prone areas, valleys, and low-lying terrain.

Exercise extreme caution while driving, especially on wet roads.

Pay close attention to reduced visibility during the night and early morning hours.
