The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) stated that a series of extensive security campaigns and specialized raids were carried out over the past few days. These operations targeted drug traffickers, promoters, and smugglers across various regions of the Kingdom, as part of the daily efforts by the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) to combat all forms of drug-related crime.

The spokesperson confirmed that authorities handled 13 cases and security campaigns, resulting in the arrest of 23 individuals and the seizure of large quantities of narcotics.
Key Operations and Seizures:
Badia Region (Azraq District): Two smugglers were arrested in possession of a large quantity of narcotic pills. Upon interrogation, they confessed to hiding 100,000 narcotic pills in a remote desert area. Security forces located and seized the cache based on their information.
Mafraq Governorate: Following a surveillance operation, a suspect linked to regional drug smuggling gangs was apprehended. A raid on his farm, used for storage and distribution, led to the seizure of 3 kg of crystal meth, 90 palm-sized sheets of hashish, and 3,000 narcotic pills.
Mafraq (Additional Case): Three suspects involved in smuggling and distribution were tracked and arrested with 78,000 narcotic pills in their possession.
Omari Border Crossing: In coordination with security agencies and Jordan Customs, AND personnel foiled an attempt by two individuals to smuggle 20,000 narcotic pills hidden inside a suitcase.
Balqa Governorate: A drug dealer was arrested after a violent confrontation. The suspect opened fire at the security forces but was apprehended without injuries. The firearm used and a quantity of drugs were seized.
Aqaba and Ramtha: A distributor was arrested in Aqaba with 3 sheets of hashish, while two others were caught in the Ramtha district with 3,000 pills and 2 sheets of hashish.
East Amman Campaign: A security crackdown on traffickers led to the arrest of 6 individuals. One was found in possession of 20 sheets of hashish, 1,000 pills, and firearms.
South Amman: Five separate cases were handled in the southern capital region:
Case 1: A trafficker arrested with 8,000 pills.
Case 2: A distributor caught with 0.5 kg of crystal meth and various pills.
Case 3: Seizure of 2 kg of marijuana.
Case 4: A distributor arrested with 0.5 kg of crystal meth.
Case 5: A suspect apprehended with 5 sheets of hashish.
