COVID claims 9 on Monday

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Monday reached 9, while a total of 1,183 new cases were recorded in Jordan, bringing the death toll to 10,222 and the caseload to 784,631اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Monday’s tally, the Ministry of Health stated that Amman recorded 506 cases, while Zarqa recorded 176 cases.

Irbid registered 93 cases, while Balqa recorded 67 cases.

Karak recorded 46, Jerash recorded 43 cases, and Tafileh recorded 67.

Madaba registered 20 cases, Aqaba 22, and Ajloun 15.

Mafraq registered 22 new cases.

Ramtha recorded 9 cases.

The ministry added in a statement that some 914 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 81 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 11,888, according to the Ministry of Health.

Around 4.27 percent of the 27,681 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
