AMMAN (JNews) — The number of COVID-19 deaths
recorded on Saturday reached 16, while a total of 658 new cases were recorded
in Jordan, bringing the death toll to 10,203 and the caseload to 782,210
Breaking down Saturday’s tally, the Ministry of Health stated that Amman recorded 273 cases, while Zarqa recorded 145 cases.
Irbid registered 101 cases, while Balqa recorded 15 cases.
Karak recorded 7, Jerash recorded 10 cases, and Tafileh recorded 41 cases.
Madaba registered 6 cases, Aqaba 14, and Ajloun 7.
Mafraq registered 19 new cases.
Ramtha recorded 3 cases .
The ministry added in a statement that some 53 hospitalized COVID-19 patients
had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 82 were admitted.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 11,498,
according to the Ministry of Health.
Around 2.75 percent of the 23,892 COVID-19 tests that were conducted
today came back positive.
