Jordan records 14 deaths, 1,010 new cases Friday

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Friday reached 14, while a total of 1,010 new cases were recorded in Jordan, bringing the death toll to 10,187 and the caseload to 781,552.اضافة اعلان




Breaking down Thursday's tally, the Ministry of Health stated that Amman recorded 572 cases, while Zarqa recorded 132 cases.

Irbid registered 114 cases, while Balqa recorded 56 cases.

Karak recorded 7, Jerash recorded 13 cases, and Tafileh recorded 37.

Madaba registered 15 cases, Aqaba 8, and Ajloun 27.

Mafraq registered 16 new cases.

Ramtha recorded 9 cases .

The ministry added in a statement that some 78 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 94 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 11,402, according to the Ministry of Health.

Around 2.91 percent of the 34,674 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
