The Public Security Directorate (PSD) had clarified on Saturday the meaning of the sirens: three intermittent sirens indicate a threat, while a single siren signals the threat has passed.

The PSD advised that upon hearing three sirens, people should remain in their current location and avoid moving. If outside, they should seek shelter in the nearest building until the threat ends.

Additional precautions include staying away from windows and open areas, and staying near concrete staircases if available.

Regarding falling objects or explosives, the PSD urged not to approach any suspicious or falling object, to keep as much distance as possible, and not to underestimate the danger, as the object may contain highly explosive material.

The public was also instructed not to gather around the object and to allow specialized teams to handle it. People must not touch, move, or attempt to open any unknown object, treating it as a genuine threat.

All sightings of unusual objects, drones, missiles, injuries, or damages should be reported immediately via the unified emergency number (911).

Families, especially children, should be educated not to touch or play with unknown objects and to report them immediately.

The PSD also urged citizens not to spread rumors or share unverified images or videos on social media, and to rely only on official, accredited sources for information.

Following these guidelines helps protect lives and property and allows the competent authorities to perform their duties efficiently and quickly.
