Under the patronage of His Highness Prince Omar bin Faisal, President of the Jordan Esports Federation, the first-ever FPV (First-Person View) drone race in the Kingdom kicked off on Friday at the Dead Sea, organized by HoverUp.

This pioneering tech-sport event, the first of its kind in Jordan, reflects HoverUp’s efforts to strengthen the Kingdom’s position on the global tech sports map and to establish it as a regional hub for innovation in advanced technology sectors.
The race featured the participation of 50 young men and women, selected from over 850 applicants, competing in a unique experience that blends the real and virtual worlds.
The first phase of the competition was held at the King Hussein Business Park, where contestants underwent qualifying rounds using professional flight simulators, leading up to the final races held on a real drone track at the Dead Sea.
