AMMAN — The national basketball team
secured its third consecutive victory in the
Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
They defeated the Filipino team 87-62 in the match held this Saturday evening
at the
Hangzhou Olympic Stadium, concluding its group stage matches in the
Games.

In today's match, the
Jordanian team ended
the first quarter leading 16-13 before extending their lead and securing the
second quarter with a score of 26-16, widening the gap to 13 points, Hala News
reported.
The Filipino team managed to reduce the gap
to 7 points in the third quarter, winning 23-17, but Jordan’s national team
regained control in the final quarter, winning 28-10 and securing the
victory."
Quarter-finals
The national team finished at the top of
Group 3 with 6 points, earned from victories against Thailand, Bahrain, and the
Philippines.
Thanks to its group stage victory the team
directly qualified for the quarter-finals. They will face the winner of the
play-off match between Saudi Arabia and the third-placed team from Group 2.
