Prince Faisal crowns taekwondo stars, Jordan’s medal count soars

AMMAN — On Wednesday evening, Prince Faisal Al Hussein, the President of the Jordanian Olympic Committee and a member of the Executive Bureau of the International Olympic Committee, bestowed the silver medal upon Saleh Sharbati, a national taekwondo team player.اضافة اعلان

During the Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China, Prince Faisal also graced the coronation of our national team player, Zaid Mustafa, who secured the silver medal in the under-86kg competition, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.



Prince Faisal extended his congratulations to the national team players for their victories, while commending the growth of Jordanian taekwondo. This edition of the Games saw Jordan's medal count rise to three, as Zaid Halwani, another national taekwondo team player, was crowned with the bronze medal in the underweight competition of 63 kg on Tuesday.

The participation of the national Taekwondo team in the Asian Games will conclude tomorrow, with Rama Abu Al Rub and Anas Sadiq set to compete in their respective weight group competitions.
