According to the Dutch News Agency (ANP), both Democrats 66, led by Rob Jetten, and the far-right Party for Freedom, led by Geert Wilders, secured 26 seats each out of 150, but Democrats 66 received more votes overall.

Under Dutch political tradition, the party receiving the highest number of votes is the first to be tasked with forming a government, giving Rob Jetten the best chance to become Prime Minister and form a majority government. (Petra)
