Warning of Hospital Shutdowns in Gaza Due to Fuel Shortages

The Ministry of Health in Gaza has warned that hospitals are only a few days away from shutting down due to fuel shortages.

In a statement on Tuesday, the ministry highlighted the critical fuel shortage affecting the remaining operational hospitals in the Strip, warning that within a few days vital hospital departments could cease functioning. The ministry added that technical and engineering measures to schedule operating times have become ineffective as fuel supplies run out.

Gaza’s Ministry of Health issued an urgent appeal to all relevant parties to intervene and ensure fuel supplies for hospitals are replenished, in order to prevent an unpredictable humanitarian catastrophe.
