Netanyahu stated: “The terrorist tyrants in Iran launched missiles this morning targeting Soroka Hospital in Beersheba and civilians in central Israel.”
At least 50 people were reportedly injured in the Iranian strike on Soroka Hospital, according to medical sources.
A spokesperson for Magen David Adom (Israel’s national emergency service) said in a statement that medical teams were treating and evacuating two individuals in critical condition, in addition to about 30 with minor injuries. Additional emergency crews were attending to several other casualties at various locations. An Israeli military source noted that “dozens of ballistic missiles” were launched during the Iranian attack.
In response, the Israeli military announced that its forces had targeted Iran’s Arak nuclear reactor overnight.
According to the army, 40 fighter jets carried out airstrikes on dozens of targets across Iran, including the Arak nuclear facility.
