The "Mobile Counter" is specifically designed to assist elderly pilgrims and persons with disabilities by capturing biometric data, facial recognition, and reading passport information seamlessly and rapidly, eliminating the need for long wait times.

Kidana Infrastructure Projects
Simultaneously, Kidana Development Company—the development arm of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and the Holy Sites—is continuing its infrastructure projects in the Holy Sites. The company has completed the second phase of the Pilgrim Rest Areas Project along pedestrian paths, as part of ongoing efforts to elevate the quality of services and enhance the spiritual experience of pilgrims.

Kidana explained that the second phase involved developing an area of 36,000 square meters, adding to the 30,000 square meters completed during the 1446 AH Hajj season. This brings the total developed area to over 66,000 square meters—an increase of 220% compared to the previous year. This reflects a qualitative expansion in service scope and improved efficiency of the pedestrian paths.

The development works included:

Comfortable Seating Areas: Specially prepared zones for rest.

Service Kiosks: To meet the immediate needs of pilgrims.

Modern Shelters: Equipped with mist-cooling fans to mitigate heat.

Advanced Rubber Flooring: To improve the walking experience and enhance comfort during transit.

This project embodies Kidana’s commitment to developing the infrastructure of the Holy Sites according to the highest standards. It aims to improve the flow of movement between locations and supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program, ensuring a Hajj journey defined by comfort, smoothness, and tranquility.
