According to the Saudi Press Agency, starting Monday, residents wishing to enter the holy city of Mecca must obtain official permits from the relevant authorities. Entry will be denied to those without permits, with exceptions for individuals holding a Mecca-issued residency ID, a valid Hajj permit, or a work permit for the holy sites issued electronically عبر the “Absher Individuals” platform and the “Muqeem” portal, integrated with the “Tasreeh” platform.
The measures also include prohibiting entry into or staying in Mecca for holders of all types of visas, except those with a valid Hajj visa, effective from April 18.
Additionally, April 18 has been set as the final deadline for Umrah visa holders to leave Saudi Arabia. The issuance of Umrah permits through the “Nusuk” platform will also be suspended for Saudi citizens, GCC nationals, residents, and other visa holders from April 18 until May 31.
