Traffic suspended on King Fahd Causeway linking Saudi Arabia and Bahrain as a precaution

Traffic on the King Fahd Causeway, the only land link between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, has been suspended as a precaution, authorities announced on Tuesday following security alerts in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.اضافة اعلان

The King Fahd Causeway Authority, a joint body between the two countries, said on X: “In reference to alerts issued by the National Early Warning Platform in the Eastern Province over the past hours, vehicle traffic on the King Fahd Causeway has been suspended as a precaution.”

The King Fahd Causeway, a series of bridges stretching approximately 25 kilometers, connects Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

Traffic on the causeway is typically heavy, especially during weekends, holidays, and official occasions.
